I think my word would be integrity. In my mind, you need to have integrity to encapsulate a lot of other qualities people admire - honesty, compassion, etc. I think a person that shows integrity also will not waver in their faith and have confidence that things will turn out for the best as you have described. Thanks for getting us to think about this, Rory!

Rory,
What a powerful question and what a difficult one to answer. If I had greater discipline, I might be more tuned into what word defines me. For now, I'll offer "belief". That takes me to 'belief' in my self; belief in my attitude; spiritual 'belief'; 'belief' in processes that are getting me to where I want to be.

Thanks Judy. Glad you enjoyed it. Well you are allowed to share the same word as me if you want. ;-) There is a plan for all of us to prosper us and protect us.

To everyone else, there are some really powerful words on this list. I guess it goes to show how there is such a desperate need and place for all of us to make this a worthwile world to live in.

See you in the stairwell,
Rory

My word is "diligence" however it implies its power source is from my own doing. I like the word "faith" because with faith we have hope and move forward even when we cannot see the next step. Our faith in a higher power than ourselves, Almighty One, allows the other defining words to come together: diligence, persevere, dreams, focus, gratitude, etc.
Thank you Rory, for your message on faith!

Rory,

Good message. Identifying a single defining word is tough. I thought of basketball, golf, sports, dedication, loyalty, and many more, but I think the word that defines me the best is Coach, which incorporates most of the other words I thought of. Most of my ex-students who really knew me and respected me, like you, still call me Coach. So I guess my defining word is Coach.

I didn't know you had published another book. Send me info to order one.

Keep the "Faith",

Coach

Thank you Rory!

I’m sorry we did not get the chance to meet personally but I have to say what a fantastic job you did, both on Friday night with Craig and Saturday AM for the keynote.

Your presentation with Craig on Friday was marvelous…one of the best learning experiences I have ever encountered. In particular I found that your partnership with Craig was extremely effective and the trading of stage time kept everyone engaged just as use of vocal variety enhances a speech.

On Saturday I was particularly captivated by your message. As someone who has always believed in “taking the stairs,” I hail your message.

I am a proclaimed “self-improvement” junkie and whenever I read a book, go to a seminar, or…clean the kitchen…if I can just get one pearl of wisdom that I can incorporate into my life, I feel nourished from the experience. This weekend I had a feast! Thank you and best wishes on your continued success.

Best regards,
Jim
